Tenille Black (she/her)
Community Impact Coordinator
Tenille Black joined Strategic Spartanburg in August 2024 as the Community Impact Coordinator. Born and raised in Spartanburg, she is a proud graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School. She received her B.S. in Economics from North Carolina A&T State University, followed by a M.A. in Economics from Clemson University. She recently graduated with a M.S. in Business Analytics from the University of South Carolina Upstate. She is also a 2019 graduate of the Spartanburg County Foundation’s Grassroots Leadership Development Institute.
Her past professional research has included work in local and state level government analysis, as well as the real estate, supply chain, and streaming services industries. As the Community Impact Coordinator, Tenille will utilize her quantitative and qualitative research expertise to assist in the progression of Strategic Spartanburg’s Four Pillars, as well as continue the dialogue between Spartanburg County residents in ensuring that the organization’s work remains community driven. As a longtime resident of Spartanburg, she is committed to seeing all members of the community have their voices heard and be able to thrive where they live.
Beyond her work with Strategic Spartanburg, Tenille enjoys brunch, game nights, and attending museums, concerts, or festivals with her friends and family.
